TWIN notion
Learn by making a real film.
The TWIN notion Film Lab is built on a simple idea: the best way to learn filmmaking is to make a film. Not a simulation. Not an exercise. A real film, with real people, in real locations.
TWIN notion is interested in people who still believe in art for art’s sake.
The first lab led to this
The Film Lab is no longer a promise. It led to a completed film. The Day Before premiered in Tulsa in August 2026, screened in the East Village neighborhood where it was made, and was submitted to festivals.
Participants learned filmmaking by participating in the making of actual work. That is what the Film Lab is.
About the film→The Philosophy
The Film Lab is not a class. It is not a workshop. It is a production.
Participants rotate through departments — directing, cinematography, editing, sound, production design, producing — and work on real production problems alongside experienced filmmakers.
The best lessons come from making something with other people. Not talking about it. Not planning it forever. Making it.
TWIN notion wants to build the kind of environment where experienced filmmakers and people picking up a camera for the first time can stand beside one another and make something real.
