Shot inside the East Village neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Day Before is a short film that emerged from the same streets, rooms, and people that will inhabit the forthcoming feature Handsome Johnny.
The production was an experiment in how TWIN notion wants to make films: bringing artists together, working directly inside Tulsa locations, and collapsing some of the traditional distance between filmmaking, exhibition, and community.

About the Film
The Day Before is a short film set in the East Village of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was created through the TWIN notion filmmaking ecosystem and shot largely inside the actual East 3rd Street environment inhabited by its characters.
The film is a companion and prequel to the forthcoming TWIN notion feature Handsome Johnny. It exists in the same world, shares some of the same people, and was made in the same spirit: look closer at the places and faces most people walk past without stopping.
The film was completed, screened, and submitted to festivals. It is a real film — not an exercise, not a simulation.
